Keeping it at the top of MMMtop10 is one thing, but the real presitigious
feat will be topping the weekly MuchMoreMusic Countdown. This one
is not dependant on votes, but if we keep the votes up, it shows
MMM that there is interest in the song and video, and it can only
help Carolyna's chances of making it to the top of that chart. If
it appears on MMM's chart, it's very likely to also appear on MuchMusic's
countdown, which is viewed by a much, much larger group of Canadians
(if I'm not mistaken, it's about the only show on the Nation's "Music"
Station that actually plays music videos back to back. So it's definitely
a key target). If we don't conquer that chart, though, no biggie,
Melanie's music is a bit too mature for Much's likings. So out of
this, we want good numbers on the MuchMoreMusic Countdown, and at
least an appearance in the top 20 would be good for the MuchMusic
Countdown, but again, the latter isn't really something to concern
ourselves over.

We also want to look at radio. Our key demographic in Canada is
young adults, really. A bit more mature than teenagers, but Melanie's
music does have quite a bit of youthful flavours. So we want to
keep in mind that most of that demographic works 40 hours a week,
and that is where a lot of music exposure comes from. People listen
to the radio at work.
What works in our favour is that Melanie's music is very radio-friendly,
and not offensive and it fits perfectly with the formats that most
workplaces and retail outlets will be listening to. So if we can
get Melanie on these stations, especially during rush hour and work
day hours (roughly between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm) people will hear
it. It's great exposure.
