01. Who is she?
Emma Lee Bunton was born on January 21st 1976 in North London, England. Daughter of Pauline and Trevor Bunton, Emma was a child model, appearing in several magazine covers about parents and family.
As a teenager, she studied drama at Barnet College and got a few small parts in TV shows like Eastenders and advertisements. With 18 years only, vocal coach Pipi Lemer invited Emma to be part of the Spice Girls, after Michelle Stephenson had left the group. She tells: "My singing teacher introduced me to the other Spice Girls. She knew they were looking for someone else and thought I'd be right. I didn't really have an audition. I just did a singing piece for her one day and that was it - I was in."

02. Emma meeting the group:

Emma tells: "It was quite funny coming into the band late because the others had all known each other for a bit. I had to meet
them at a train station the first time and there were quite a few girls hanging around. But as soon as I saw them, I knew who they were. We just clicked straight away."

03. The house in Maidenhead:

Emma shared a room with Victoria at the Maidenhead home the Spice Girls lived in before fame. She tells: "I was quite nervous when I left home to go to Maidenhead, but I needed to do it if I was going to make a go of the group. My mum was shocked that I went just like that. Sometimes I got homesick. It was good that I shared a room with Victoria because we were the ones who always wanted to go home. So if we got homesick, she'd drive us both back for the night. Mel B and I were the most untidy. Melanie C would always wash up and clear away the rubbish. She'd shout, 'I can't believe you lot!' while we were up in our bedrooms listening to music."

04. Why Baby?

In the Spice Girls, Top Of The Pops Magazine gave Emma the nickname Baby Spice. The nickname was given to her for being the youngest of the group.

05. Melanie writing and singing for Emma:
Melanie helped Emma to write a b-side (Hey You) Free Up Your Mind for Baby Spice’s solo single What Took You So Long. Mel also featured on the song, doing backing vocals.

06. "We are family".

Emma lives with her boyfriend Jade Jones and they are currently expecting their first baby.
