Spice Girls naked on stage:
Melanie C revealed that the Spice Girls will be completely naked for a portion of their upcoming world tour, not just body-suit naked like before. Although you won't get to see anything because the girls will be hiding behind various props. A source says: "It is their raunchiest routine ever and they just can't wait. It is going to be no holds barred. But they're all in great shape, so why shouldn't they just go for it?"
Mel C said: "We do actually go naked in the show, completely."

Melanie C admits doubts over Spice Girls reunion to Graham Norton:
From My Park Magazine:
Melanie 'Sporty Spice' Chisholm confirms she was slow to sign up for the Spice Girls' forthcoming world tour when she joins Graham Norton for the new edition of The Graham Norton Show on BBC Two.
"I was Reluctant Spice," she says, "I was the last to make my decision because it was a hard decision to make ... I was scared we couldn't do it again. It was a weird time of my life, I had a lot of personal s**t to get over after the Spice Girls."
But she denies press rumours that she was bullied: "I never said that. How can they quote you? I wasn't bullied at all ... I just love the British tabloids, they're so imaginative! In America they're more of a joke."
About the forthcoming single, she says they all share the singing honours: "We all sing the chorus, we all have an equal part in the song... it's a very 'Spicey' ballad, it's lovely to hear all our voices again, I love doing that kind of stuff."

Support of Britney
Mel also comes out in support of troubled Britney Spears: "Poor Britney, I feel bad for her. She used to be looked after. Obviously she's not happy, she really needs someone to step in."

The Princes
And she also reveals she's been round to the Princes' for tea: "I met them a while ago. We [the Spice Girls] were invited to Highgrove for high tea. Some of us didn't like cucumber sandwiches and we made this known to our hosts, and we were made peanut butter on toast by Prince William."

He tells: “We couldn’t believe it when Louis just called up and said he wanted to pop in to promote his new book.Especially seeing as Mel C was booked and we knew the pair have never really got on." And he added: “When I said Louis was coming in, Mel wasn’t happy at all. It was slightly uncomfortable. They were even kept apart in separate areas when they first arrived at the studio. I just sat there and let them both speak. After a lengthy time of it, they cracked and it was better after that.”

VH1 reality show cancelled:
UK VH1's reality competition show "Wannabe: Spice Girls" has been cancelled due to either personal objections from the Spice Girls, or legal objections from their management. The show is being revamped into a general competition for "those desperate for one last chance to make it." An insider supposedly says: "It's very disappointing for all involved. The new format has absolutely nothing to do with finding a new Spice Girls. It couldn't be further away from the original plan."
As we had previously published, the show would choose five girls to be the new Spice Girls as a tribute band, and the auditions would be in the hometowns of each Spice Girl.

Spice furniture:
Rumours are that the Spice Girls have signed a deal with a Norwegian retail giant to design a range of "modern woman" furniture. The designs will include sofas and chairs, floral print wallpaper, and colorful mirrors. A source says: "It can't fail to work. The girls have something so individual about them. The company believes all five of the Spice Girls can each bring something unique to the furniture industry. No exact figure about what they’ll earn has been discussed but it will definitely be around the £1 million each mark."

  MELANIE RELUCTANT ON SPICE REVIVAL
Posted on 23/10/2007 by Luisa Damulakis
General icon

From Yahoo.co.uk:

Mel C reluctantly agreed to the Spice Girls reunion after the other four said they would go ahead without her.

Sporty Spice was last to agree to the comeback tour and took some persuading.

"The girls approached me and said they were getting together to do a world tour, a greatest hits album and a big goodbye, and I was like: 'Oh no.' It was the last thing I wanted to hear," the 33-year-old told Closer magazine.

"All four of them had spoken about it and it was set in stone. They basically said if I wanted to do it, great, but if I didn't want to do it then they were going to do it anyway. So I was like: 'Wow, what do I do?'

"I always said I'd never do it. But I didn't want to miss out and have regrets. I also didn't want to be the person that stopped it being the complete five - I was scared I'd be the villain. It was hard, so I didn't say yes immediately. I changed my mind every day - it was difficult."

And she admitted: "The thought of singing Wannabe makes me cringe. But I know I'll love doing it once we get going."

During her Spice years, Mel C suffered from eating disorders and depression. Her weight dropped to a size six as she lived on a diet of fruit and vegetables. She feared returning to that state if the group made a comeback.

"The depression and everything else was in my thoughts during the decision process of whether to do the tour. It took me a long time to decide because it was something I never ever wanted to do," she admitted.

While the other girls - Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham - may want to bring out a new album if their reunion proves successful, Mel C is adamant that she won't.

"I will absolutely be returning to my solo projects when the Spice Girls are over in February," she said. The group kick off their world tour in Vancouver in December.

From TheSpiceGirls.com:

thespicegirls.com was at Pinewood Studios on Friday for the video shoot for new single, Headlines (Friendship Never Ends). It was a long but relaxed day that began with an air of anticipation and excitement as the Spice Girls prepared to perform the single together for the first time.

Dressed in a series of stunning costumes, the girls enjoyed the day, which was expertly directed by world-renowned photographer and video genius Anthony Mandler. "What's really wonderful is just being able to hang out with the girls again like this," Victoria told us, during a well-earned break.

Between shots, Mel B rushed off the set and into a corridor to rehearse a new routine with her Dancing With The Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Emma was on hand to give ballroom dance advice gained during her own stint on Strictly Come Dancing, and all of the girls gave Maksim their own light-hearted tips on how to best handle Mel B! And if anybody should know how to handle her… it’s the Spice Girls.

According to The Sun, the video shoot was a real nightmare, with Emma crying, Melanie C desperated to go home and Mel B moaning! This is the well-known British press!

Mel B and Victoria have both flown over from LA especially for the shoot. And since Mel B is currently appearing on Dancing With The Stars in the US, she has even brought her dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, with her to continue rehearsals during the visit.

Victoria also confirmed at an interview to The Mirror that the video will be directed by Anthony Mandler.

Welcome to the first blog!

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the first blog!
Wow, there is so much to tell you! Things are really hotting up now with the tour preparations. Emma, Victoria, Geri and I had a fantastic meeting with Roberto Cavalli's team last week, the costumes for the tour are going to be AMAZING!! It's so exciting to work with such talented and lovely people, we feel very lucky.

I hope you've all been watching Mel B on Dancing With The Stars, she's doing brilliantly and we are all very proud. She's flying over today and we're going to be shooting our video for Headlines (Friendship Never Ends). We'll also be doing lots of filming for our documentary. It's really fun reminiscing and it is actually quite emotional.

I've got a busy couple of weeks promoting my solo single, This Time. I was in Manchester at The Key 103 awards on Wednesday evening and on the breakfast show yesterday morning, announcing our new gigs. I'll also be on Graham Norton, Loose Women and The One show so tune in for plenty of Spice gossip!

We really can't thank you enough for your amazing support, this tour is going to be incredible.

Not long to go guys!! SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!

Lots of love,

Melanie C

MEL SUPPORTS HER FORMER HIGH SCHOOL

Last month, parents and employers of the school Mel went to in Widnes asked her for help when the school faced closure. Melanie replied their plea and sent a statement to the parents, saying that she hopes her support will "help your campaign" and that "my time at Fairfield High was fantastic". She also remembered her student days, from 1985 to 1990, with compliments to the school: "Not only did I leave with a great education, I was able to pursue my love of performing arts and sport. Both departments were brilliant – kept me busy and out of trouble."
The father of one of the children, Chris Blackett, said: "I contacted Mel’s management team and was made up when I got a reply. Her manager said Mel hoped her comments would help our campaign. Mel didn’t want to go too deeply into the politics side of things, but her support is there for all to see."
Headteacher Jeff Hughes declared to be delighted that Mel joined their fight: "I have seen Mel’s statement and am delighted she has given her support and spoken so nicely about the school."
