Unlike the other singles, Stop didn’t go to number one. It only got to 2nd position in the UK, staying behind the single "It's Like That" by Run DMC.

Despite all the advertisements “Stop The Spice Girls” in the media, the single only sold 331,000 copies, but even so it was the 43rd best selling single in 1998 in the United Kingdom. It stayed inside the Top 75 for 17 weeks.

The duet with Luther Vandross on the song Ain't No Stopping Us Now was recorded during the TV special An Audience With the Spice Girls, in which the girls answered question from a crowd of celebrities and performed some songs in 1997.
Stop was released in the United States on June 2nd 1998, hitting number 16 in the American charts.

Originally, Viva Forever was going to be released in the end of May as a double A-side single, as "Viva Forever/Never Give Up On The Good Times". However, Geri’s departure ruined the vocals for Never Give Up On The Good Times, so the single ended up being released as Viva Forever only.

Viva Forever had very little promotion, but still sold 277,911 copies only on its first week, spent 2 weeks in the number 1 spot and ended up selling 623,000 copies in the United Kingdom. It was the 13th best selling single in 1998 and the 85th best seller of the 90’s. It was not released in the United States.

The Viva Forever fairies originated miniatures that came with the Spice Girls Viva Forever Dolls edition.

The single p2 included a Spice Girls’ poster as a gift.
