For the release of the Spice Girls Greatest Hits album, the girls got together in June of 2007 to announce a farewell world tour for the end of the year.

The album features two new songs: Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) and Voodoo.

The DVD features the music videos: Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, 2 Become 1, Mama, Who Do You Think You Are, Spice Up Your Life, Too Much (with the Spice World movie scenes), Stop, Viva Forever, Let Love Lead The Way, Holler and Goodbye.

The Gift Box comes with 5 postcards, a friendship bracelet, a remix CD, a karoke CD, the original Greatest Hits album and the DVD with the music videos.

In the USA, the Greatest Hits album was only sold on Victoria's Secret stores, as the five girls also performed for the first time together in 9 years at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The CD allows the fans to download three bonus remixes of Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Spice Up Your Life on a special website.

The cover of the Spice Girls Greatest Hits album features a glittering Spice logo created in gems by jeweller David Morris. The shimmering cover is made from £1 million worth of precious stones, with each colour designed to represent each of the Spice Girls. The S is made from Amber and represents Victoria, the ruby pink P represents Emma, the diamond I is for Melanie C, the C is made from sapphire and represents Geri while the emerald E is for Mel B.

Directed by Anthony Mandler, the girls come to sing in a luxurious room, with big chandeliers. Melanie wears three outfits: a black dress, trousers with a top and black jacket in some scenes and a golden top in others. Click on the pictures to visit the Videography section:

Emma and Geri initially worked on the lyrics of Headlines with the original writers that they used to collaborate with (Stannard and Rowe). Then the other girls added other verses.

The single was first released on November 5th in the UK, only in digital version. On November 19th, the physical copies went on sale.

All the proceeds from the sale of the single went to the BBC's charity project Children In Need, as it was the official Children In Need single in 2007. Unfortunately, it became the worst selling Children In Need song ever, with the number 11 being its highest position on the UK singles chart.

The song was also dropped by BBC Radio 1 to their C-list for play time and frequency. George Ergatoudis, Head of Music at Radio 1, said: "The opinion of the Radio 1 playlist team is that the song isn't strong enough. Clearly there's a huge number of Spice Girls fans out there, look at the tickets they have sold. But 'Headlines' is very disappointing. The song simply isn't strong enough. It would have been a B-side in their heyday."
